Twilight Race Sydney

More than 100 yachts compete each week in the popular Club Marine Wednesday Twilight Series (non spinnaker division) out of CYCA.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with SWD's program. The emphasis is on fun, meeting other SWD members and volunteers and improving sailing skills.
Boat call is at 5pm. The boat leaves at 5:30pm on the dot. The meeting place is changable, please check with the volunteer crew co-ordinator .
Please remember if you are crew to bring the requirements outlined in the SWD SOPS - knife, torch, electrical tape etc to enable you to participate.
We ask that you bring your own liquid refreshment of choice for during and after the race.

Winds of Change - Sydney - wk2

WEEK 2 of 8 - The Winds of Change Youth Project opens a whole new world of challenge, skill development and discovery for young people who have disengaged from learning. By thinking beyond the usual classroom teaching methods, the Project offers a classroom of the future through the medium of sailing.
If you commit to WOCh a regular booking of 6 sessions out of 8 is preferred.

Hobart - Crew Orientation Session
Time: Wed February 14, 1:00 pm to Wed February 14, 5:00 pm
All Tasmanian crew volunteers are required to attend this SWD Information session prior to volunteering. Session will be held from 1pm at the Derwent Sailing Squadron, 23 Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay TAS 7005.
The Orientation will be followed by a familarisation session on board our yacht.

WINDS OF CHANGE TRAINING

A presenter from YOUTH OFF THE STREETS will come and speak about the WOCh clientele and the challenges they face. She will offer suggesstions on how to deal with behaviours, being irrational, withdrawal, bullying, anger and many other difficulties you may endure as a WOCh crew member.
If you are planning to be a regular Crew Member of WOCh we ask that you attend this event at the CYCA from 3-5pm
